Dementia Support For You

We recognise how important it is for people with dementia to stay active and in touch with their hobbies, and we know that carer respite is essential to avoid crisis. That’s why we’ve created tailored dementia support groups internally at our specialist Dementia Centre at the Dougie Mac Adult Services site to provide a warm and welcoming environment to help support those with dementia to enhance their wellbeing and re-engage with their interests and passions at all stages in their dementia journey.

We have now expanded our Independent Activity Groups for people with moderate to advanced dementia at our Dementia Centre.

What to Expect?

During these sessions, people with dementia can be left in our care to engage in a range of different activities such as singing, dancing, quizzes, games, reminiscence and more. We run sessions each week which are tailored to each stage in the dementia journey, from mild to moderate to advanced and can offer 20 weeks of provision following an assessment.

Please email dsequiries@dmhospice.org.uk or call Dementia Services on 01782 214999 to register your interest.
