Dougie Mac Hospice simply couldn’t survive without the generosity of the local communities of Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
Each year, the hospice needs over £19 million to maintain all services with 76p of every £1 spent directly on care services. You can be assured your donation will help support local people during some of their most difficult days.
There are many different ways you can donate – in memory of loved ones, paying in sponsorship or just to show how much you care. Thank you for your support!
Giving in memory is a way to celebrate the life of someone special. A donation in memory of loved ones also serves as a lasting tribute. By giving a donation in memory of your loved one; you, your family and friends are helping to maintain the hospice’s vital end of life care services including pain management, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, chaplaincy, bereavement support and social work.
Together we can make sure those affected by a life-limiting illness receive the very best quality of care, at a time when they need it most.
Remember a loved one today
Light up a Life is our annual remembrance campaign where we invite you to donate and dedicate a light on the hospice Christmas tree to remember your loved ones.
Everlasting flowers are eye catching metal sculptures which bring joy and vibrancy to any garden, all year round. Many of our supporters like to buy these instead of fresh flowers as a constant memory of their loved ones and to support the hospice.
Choose from a Sunflower, Gerbera, Forget-Me-Not, Poinsettia or Daisy.
Our virtual remembrance pages are a visual way to remember your loved one, commemorate a poignant time of year, such as a loved one’s birthday, anniversary or in lieu of flowers at their funeral. You’re also welcome to donate and make your dedication just to show how much your loved one means to you.
We are extremely grateful for the support we receive from Trusts and Charitable foundations of all sizes.
As a result of the generosity of trusts and foundations, we have been able to develop and expand the care we provide, fund capital projects as well as continue to meet hospice core costs; allowing us to maintain our excellent hospice services.
View our Annual Hospice ReportsLeaving a gift to the hospice in your Will is not just a donation…it’s your continued support.
Making your Will is an important way to remember the friends, family and causes you care about after your death. A donation to Dougie Mac in your Will costs you nothing during your lifetime but can offer comfort, care and support to local people and families when they need it most.
Gifts in Wills equate to 19% of Dougie Mac’s total income each year.
Leave a Legacy
Throughout the year, we collaborate with local solicitors who offer discounts and special offers on Will-writing services. To make it even easier for you to get started with planning for your future, every year we hold “Make a Will Month”.
During May and October, supporting local solicitors will make your Will and waive their normal fee in exchange for a donation to Dougie Mac.
