Lillian and Michael hit the jackpot on the Dougie Mac Lottery

Lilian and Michael Peers hit the jackpot when they won the Dougie Mac Lottery jackpot prize of £6,500 in the 7^th March draw.

“We used to live in Blurton, and we’ve seen Dougie Mac’s services grow a lot in the local area since we were younger. When we heard about Dougie Mac’s Lottery, we just decided to sign up. We’ve been playing since 2008 and have won a couple of £10 prizes over the years.”

“I received the call on the Friday of the draw. We were getting ready to go on holiday, and my sister was visiting from Scotland. The phone started ringing, and I don’t normally answer numbers I don’t recognise, but my sister handed me the phone and I couldn’t believe it.”

“The lady on the other end told me there had been a lucky winner, and I replied, ‘Well, it’s not me!’. I was in total disbelief when she told me I’d won – I didn’t even know there was an extra jackpot draw!”

“We’re going away on holiday in November, and the jackpot will give us some spending money. It was such a big shock to win, that we’re still thinking about what we’re going to spend the rest of the money on!”
