Local schools raise more than £7,000 for Dougie Mac

Say a BIG hello to the head boys and girls from three Stoke-on-Trent schools who have helped raise more than £7,000 for Dougie Mac.

A total of 1,112 pupils from Newstead Primary School, Whitfield Primary Academy and Norton-le-Moors Primary Academy – who are all part of The Inspirational Learning Academies Trust – raised £7,436.40 by holding a sponsored walk. The youngsters each walked a mile to raise the funds.

Deborah Vickers, Head of Business and Events Fundraising, said: “We are extremely grateful to all three schools for raising such an incredible amount of money for us.

“The funds will help us provide our specialist care services to local adults, young adults and children living with life-limiting illnesses in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding areas, as well as offering support to their families and carers.”
