Santa Dash is coming to town!
Put on your Santa suit and get ready to run, walk, dance or dash through Hanley Park for Dougie Mac’s Santa Dash! Join our 5k family fun run, or take on the 2k Mini Dash – ideal for little legs or those who would prefer a shorter route.
A free Santa suit is included for participants age 5+ as part of your registration, and there will be festive treats, face painting and seasonal music to keep the fun going for the whole family!

What size are the Santa suits?
The Santa suits provided as part of your registration are 'One size fits most', with Adult, Youth and Children's suits available. Suits are not provided for under 5s. Please find specific measurements below:
Adult
Jacket: Length 88cm | Shoulder 45cm | Chest 56cm| Sleeve 60cm
Trousers: Length 110cm | Waist 62cm
Youth (9-14YRS)
Jacket: Length 72cm | Shoulder 45cm | Chest 56cm | Sleeve 52cm
Trousers: Length 90cm | Waist 52cm
Children (5-8YRS)
Jacket: Length 50cm | Shoulder 35cm | Chest 40cm | Sleeve 58cm
Trousers: Length 80cm | Waist 45cm
Is there an age limit?
No. The events are open to Santas of all ages. Participants under 16 years old must participate with a parent or responsible adult, which means everyone must register to take part. All participants must ensure they are physically capable of completing the full distance whether they are choosing the 2k or 5k option.
Where can I collect my Santa suit?
You can collect your Santa suit from 17th November – 5th December from the Fundraising Hub at Dougie Mac Adult Services. A limited number of suits will be available to collect on the day, but we would advise you to collect in advance.
Can I run with a child in a pushchair or sling?
Yes, but you must register both yourself and your child. Please note the path is uneven in places so please exercise caution.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome to attend with spectators. Dogs can also accompany walkers for our 5k and 2k mini dash but will have to walk at the back of the group. Please pay attention to signage and instructions. Dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. You are responsible for your dog at all times, keeping him/her under control and clearing up any mess on the route. No more than 2 dogs per handler.
Is my run/walk timed?
Our Santa Dash is a fun event for all the family, so there are no chip timing facilities. You are welcome to time your own run if you wish
Can I wear my own Santa Suit?
Santa suits are provided to participants age 5+ as part of your registration, but you are welcome to buy or wear your own suit if you prefer!
