First time player wins £2,000 in Dougie Mac Lottery

Lucky Lauren Hamer scooped the top prize of £2,000 when she played the Dougie Mac weekly Lottery for the very first time.

“I’m a big believer of the more you give the universe, the more you receive, so when i spotted Dougie Mac’s Lottery promoters in my local Morrisons store I stopped to have a chat and decided to join as it’s only a few pounds each month.

“Just a few weeks later I saw I had some missed calls on my phone and an email from Dougie Mac saying they’d been trying to get in touch with me as I’d won the top prize. I was completely floored, I couldn’t believe it. I rang my mum and dad and told them I’d won £2,000 and they couldn’t believe it either! We were all in complete shock.

“The timing couldn’t have been better as I’ve recently gone back to work after maternity leave and we also lost a lot of money to some builders who started work on our house and left it unfinished. The money will go back in to our house savings pot so that we can finally get the work done.”

Lauren scooped the £2,000 top prize on her very first entry into Dougie Mac’s weekly draw. After her first £5 monthly direct debit was collected, her unique number was entered into the draw and randomly selected from more than 24,000 numbers.

“I know a lot of people who have received care from Dougie Mac, including my own family and I’ve supported the hospice in the past by taking part in the 10K race.
