50KM Gravel Sportive | Dougie Mac 100
Dougie Mac’s annual bike ride is back on Sunday 14th September 2025 with two new routes; a 50KM gravel route and 100 mile ride to Llangollen.
Sign up for our Bike Ride and every mile you cycle and pound you raise helps us provide our hospice services to over 3,500 local people with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and surrounding villages, as well as offering supportive care to their families and carers.
Back at the Michelin, at the end of the ride, you’ll receive your medal and have the opportunity to relax with a drink from the bar, hog roast and ice cream; so invite your family and soak up the atmosphere after your fantastic achievement!
50KM Gravel Sportive
The shorter 50km Gravel Route will see participants soak in the sights of Stoke-on-Trent, as they ride down the local canals and bike tracks. This route is designed to celebrate the best of our city, with cyclists passing by Stoke landmarks including Middleport Pottery, Bathpool Park, Chatterley Whitfield, and Parkhall Country Park. Participants are encouraged to ride as fast or slow as they like, with various stops available en-route for participants to grab refreshments.
Dougie Mac 100
The Dougie Mac 100 Sportive bike ride mirrors the historic Potts 100 route. The 100-mile route from Stoke-on-Trent to Llangollen harks back to the 70s & 80s as a favourite amongst pro cyclists, including the famous Les West. Heading out of Stoke-on-Trent, cyclists will pass through Woore and Audlem on their way to Llangollen, before returning to The Potteries through Nantwich. Along the route, cyclists will take in the beautiful countryside of Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire.
